Description

After the recent flooding in Las Olas Isles, Fort Lauderdale, floodwater soaked the flooring and lower walls of a home office. This water damage restoration project covered flood damage cleanup, water extraction, and structural drying to get the room dry and the building materials ready for the next steps.

Solution

ZM-MADE responded with its STOP, DRY, FIX, PROTECT process. STOP: the crew started with water extraction, using a wet vacuum to remove standing water and debris from the room. DRY: the wet wood flooring and underlayment were removed down to the concrete slab, and the drywall at the base of the walls was cut out so the wall cavities could dry. Air movers and an LGR dehumidifier were placed around the room and aimed at the exposed cavities and floor, and drying is tracked with moisture readings. FIX and PROTECT: wet materials and debris were bagged and removed, leaving the room cleaned out and ready for repair. Roofing, electrical, and flooring replacement are coordinated with a licensed provider rather than performed by ZM-MADE directly.

You call. A real person answers — 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays. We ask a few key questions to assess severity and dispatch our local crew immediately.
02

We Arrive

Our Broward-based crew arrives with extraction and imaging equipment and assesses every affected area to find the source and the full extent of the damage.
03

‍Extract

Standing water is removed with commercial-grade extraction equipment, and containment is established where needed to stop damage from spreading.
04

Setup Drying

Industrial dehumidifiers and air movers are deployed based on moisture mapping data to dry walls, floors and cavities in a controlled way.
05

Monitor & Document

Every step is logged — daily moisture readings, photos, equipment and timeline. Your insurance documentation package starts here.
06

Verify & Close Out

Once calibrated readings confirm the structure is dry, we remove the equipment and hand over a complete, insurance-ready report of the mitigation.
