An attic mold inspection starts with identifying the moisture source — a roof leak, a bathroom exhaust fan venting into the attic instead of outside, or insufficient soffit and ridge ventilation trapping humid air against the roof deck. ZM-MADE documents the affected area, the likely cause, and which materials (roof decking, rafters, insulation) are impacted before any removal work begins.
Removal follows the same containment and HEPA filtration process used on any mold job, scaled to an attic's tight, often hard-to-access space. Affected insulation and non-salvageable decking are removed; structural wood that can be treated is cleaned and treated in place. Honest scope: ZM-MADE performs mold remediation under Florida's mold remediator license; where a separate assessment or clearance report is required, that work is coordinated with an independently licensed mold assessor, consistent with Florida's licensing requirements (FS 468.8325). Findings are reported as visual and moisture readings observed on-site, not a health or air-quality diagnosis.
